FIGURE SKATING

Pricing (cost per session)
30min: $20 – $35
60min: $40 – $70

Private lessons are available to members who are interested in pursuing the sport of figure skating on a one on one basis for 30min or 60min lessons. Private lessons are a great way to supplement a skaters group lesson development at the beginner levels. All advanced figure skaters require private lessons to achieve their goals in the USFSA test & competitive programs.

Below is the process for obtaining figure skating private lessons. Skaters should be working towards Plex Skate Level 5/6 (USFSA Basic 5/6) to Gold Freestyle.

Skater needs to purchase a monthly Freestyle “add-on” to their account
Skater will be able to access freestyle sessions scheduled for the month. Freestyle sessions are usually scheduled twice per week.
Skater needs to make arrangements for lessons from one of our coaching staff
All private lessons will take place on freestyle sessions only. Ask instructor for more details

HOCKEY

Private lessons offer individualized training designed to be customizable and skill specific to each player. This is the best possible training environment to take your player to the next level. Sessions are 30 minutes long and offered at a variety of times based on age.

All Private lessons will take place on designated sessions or Stick & Puck times. Ask Instructor for more details.

The McKendree MetroRecPlex requires all of our coaching staff to be certified by USA Hockey, or the Professional Skating Association as well as be an active member of the USFSA. This ensures that the highest level of training is available to our members and skating students. Our goal is to provide the best on ice lesson experience as possible with our enthusiastic coaching staff.
